WALKING PROGRAM
The Wm. J. Oakes Branch offers a walking program after school to the Club from the following elementary schools: Logan, William J. Oakes, Burbank, King Chavez Academy, and Laura Rodriguez.

YOUTH OF THE YEAR
Mashun Tucker
Mashun is a wonderful member to have here at the William J. Oakes Branch. He always has a positive attitude and is willing to help staff and younger members. He is a great role model with tremendous leadership skills. Mashun is a very creative young man, as he loves theatre and music. He attends the School of Creative Performing Arts. Mashun aspires to be an actor. He is always working hard towards all of his goals. He is very responsible, always making sure he has good grades and he puts school as his first priority. It is a great honor to have Mashun to represent the William J. Oakes Branch as our 2011 Youth of the Year.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
ACADEMIC SUCCESS  *  CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT  *  HEALTHY LIFESTYLES
The William J. Oakes Branch offers after school programs which contain activities in five core focus areas including Character and Leadership Development; Education and Career Development; Health and Life Skills; Sports, Fitness and Recreation; and The Arts. We offer the following: Power Hour (Homework assistance), Club K (kindergarten program), arts, computer activities, gym & outdoor fitness,   tournaments, healthy cooking, soccer league, Jr. Leaders, Teen Center. Juvenile Diversion Program, and free snack daily,


TEEN CENTER
The William J. Oakes Branch offers a Teen Center inside the branch. The Club Teen Center is designed specifically for the teens and provides specialized programming for our young adults.


DAY CAMPS
Registration for Ultimate Summer Camp begins May 1
Summer Camps run June 13-September 4.
Cost is $77 per week. Discount available for additional siblings.
Scholarships available for those who qualify.


SPORTS
Logan Heights Soccer Arena 
Register for youth and adult indoor soccer leagues in the finest soccer facility in the area. We work with Futbol Rapido USA to facilitate youth and adult soccer leagues.  Contact FutbolRapidoUSA.com for more information.
