Spence Reese Scholarship
The prestigious Spence Reese Scholarship is available annually to MALE students in their senior year in high school. The application process is now closed for 2012! Four scholarships are awarded each year, one each in the following fields of study:
- Medicine
- Engineering
- Law
- Political Science
Finalists may be required to attend a personal interview in San Diego, California. Average scholarship award is $4,000 per year for four years.

A: A minimum of 3 letters are required.
Q: Can applications be hand-written or is typed preferred?
A: Since the application is available in PDF format only, some answers will need to be hand-written. However, for the essay-style questions, typed answers on a separate sheet(s) of paper may be attached to your application.

On April 11: Applications sent to committee chairs via U Send It (email). Contact lists, score sheets and timeline emailed to committee chairs
By April 24: Committees will conference call or get together to select top 3 applicants
On April 28 – May 2: Conference calls to top 3 applicants
By May 7: Final candidate selected
On June 2: Award Distribution
