The Linda Vista Teen Center offers after school programs which contain activities in five core focus areas including Character and Leadership Development; Education and Career Development; Health and Life Skills; Sports, Fitness and Recreation; and The Arts. Power Hour, Tutor/Homework Help, SAT Prep, Intro to College, Health Smart, Culinary Class, Dance, Music, Recreation/Sports, College tours/field trips (L.I.T) and studio recording. View the After School Program flyer!

SPECIALTY PROGRAMS
HERE COME THE ARTS TO THE LINDA VISTA TEEN CENTER - The LVTC presents two new Clubs to begin April 1: Club Dramatic, a new acting club and Club Poet Society, a fledgling poetry club. Both clubs will be taught by University of San Diego students who have volunteered to teach and educate our teens in the art of acting and the art of poetry. 

New Club Dramatic -Drama & Acting Club
The Drama & Acting Club, which meets April 1-June 30, will be embarking on a new acting adventure, learning different acting techniques, writing their own scripts/plays and culminating in an end of school year performance based on a play written by  the teen drama club members themselves!  Meetings are Mondays at 6-6:45pm and Fridays at 5:30-6:15pm.

New Club Poet Society - Poetry & Literature Club
The Poetry & Literature Club, which meets April 1-June 30, will focus on members writing poetry and discussing literature. The Club meets Mondays at 6-645pm and Fridays from 5:30 to 6:15pm. A poetry reading/presentation will be performed in conjunction with the end of school year drama club performance.  Readings will be actual poetry written by our LVTC teen members. 


NEW
 Teen Talk - Open Forum Meeting

Teen Talk is a new open forum meeting for the teens that happens everyday at 5:30pm. It is a social forum in which members are  encourage all the teens to get to know each other, share their daily adventures and experiences. The program helps teems learn from each other. 

Keystone Club
Keystone is a chartered small-group leadership and service club for boys and girls ages 14-18.

NEW Ambassadors of Compassion 
This is a new program involving teens focusing on leadership and community  service. 
Mondays,  5:45p to 6:30pm. 

Passport to Manhood
The Passport to Manhood is designed to help our young men. Thursdays, 5:45-6:30pm

SMART Girls 
The SMART Girls program is designed to help out young ladies. Thursdays, 5:45-6:30pm

SMART Moves
The SMART (Skills Mastery and Resistance Training) Moves program is a nationally acclaimed prevention program.

Music Studio
Learn how to produce music in our state-of-the-art music studio 

HIP HOP Anonymous Club
Hip Hop Anonymous Amateur Rap Club - Thursday: 5:45-7:00pm.

Café 
Kitchen/Cafe on site is used for culinary activities.

Leaders in Training Program
Personal/Professional/Educational development and field trips.
 
Jr. Leaders
We believe in empowering our youth to support and influence their Club and community. With Jr. Leaders, young people prepare for future roles as human services professionals by participating in career development activities, discovering the importance of community service, building customer service skills. This program provides great volunteers opportunities and preparation for leadership roles in the professional world today!
